The Electronic Repair Center was born from Knorr-Bremse Rail Systems Italia’s acquisition of Alisea, an engineering company founded in 1985 with the headquarter in Taranto.
Extensive experience, innovation and continuous staff update allow the Electronic Repair Center to efficiently guarantee the quality and long-term availability of our customers’ systems and products.
The Electronic Repair Center is specialized in the repairs, reverse engineering and redesign of digital, analog, hybrid and multivendor electronic board and power electronic modules.
In the railway sector it works on vehicles and network infrastructures in close contact with operators, car builders, infrastructure stakeholders, original manufacturers of electronic boards and components, companies operating in global maintenance.

Servizi e Prodotti

REPAIR. Reverse engineering and revision of digital, analog, hybrid and multivendor power electronic modules and electronic boards. REDESIGN. Modification and update of modules with obsolete components or with systematic failures due to the environmental conditions and/or defective usage. IMPLEMENTATION. Of turn-key solutions for test benches, diagnostic software, test procedures, measurements systems and simulators. Study of the functioning and interfacing of electronic cards/modules to reproduce their complete operation in the laboratory Analysis of digital components by developing and applying diagnostic software running on ATE PINPOINT II machines with in-circuit and functional test techniques. Analysis of analog components with traditional bench instrumentation and with dedicated test boxes. Reverse-engineering activities necessary for the redesign of documentation when not available, including wiring diagrams. Production of technical process specifications and testing procedures. Replacement of faulty components carried out with advanced soldering techniques such as reballing and rework of BGA (Ball Grid Array) circuits and hot air soldering/desoldering stations for SMD Preventive maintenance in case of electronic modules that present a significant number of carried out repairs per part number to minimize warranty claims. Final testing of the product accompanied by the documentation required by quality control.
